Songza, SkreemR: Music Search Engines

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Songza is almost a dream come true to me, almost. If you haven't seen Songza yet, this awesome site lets you search music, play it, create a playlist, share it by embedding or linking, and view the video of the song on YouTube. Now if only they offered a download option as well, it'll be more than perfect!

SkreemR is another tool that lets you search for music, it's interface isn't as great as Songza but works great and it offers more options like a link to the lyrics of the song, a link to Amazon, a link to Wikipedia to find more on the artist and a link to flickr to find photos of the artist.

The good thing about the two sites is that you don't have to register. And as much as I liked Songza's interface, I'm leaning a little bit towards SkreemR just because they have a download option.

Give them a try and let me know what you think!

Internet Love Song

Is it okay that I think this song is actually cute?

Phonefingers: Seriously?

So, do you think that people who own iPhones love it so much they're actually willing to wear this so that they don't smudge the screens? They call it Phone Fingers... I call it finger condoms.

Is someone really willing to use that?! IN PUBLIC?!

Seriously? Is that supposed to be cool?

If you think that's funny... you should REALLY read their FAQ section for more laughs.

Mosaickr: Create Mosaics Easily Using Flickr.

Most of you probably have a Flickr account to keep and share your photos in. Any Flickr fan would really appreciate this free online tool.

Mosaickr can help you create awesome mosaics using pictures from your Flickr account. Using Mosaickr is free, but you'll get your mosaics at low resolution. If you want a higher resolution, you can download it for a small fee and if you want it printed on a poster you can use one of their affiliate programs. Having a Flickr account is required, you can't upload photos directly to the site, you can only import them from Flickr.

This is a great way to have fun with photos. You should definitely give it a try!

Blog About Your Favorite Blogger

A friend of mine has come up with this nice idea. She is starting the official "Blog about your favorite blogger" day.

On Saturday, October 27th each blogger should dedicate a post on their favorite bloggers and why they like them.

Rules:
1- Write about why you read their blog.
2- Link to their blog and a favorite article that grabbed your attention and made you a fan of their site.
3- Make sure you link this image and spread the word.

Miro: Free, Open Source, Internet TV and Video Player

For quite sometime now I've disposed all of my different video players for different types of files and took in GOM Player as my one and only. GOM Player is free, a very powerful video players that plays all sorts of video and audio files so there's no need to install codecs separately. But I think another player that does all that, and even more!

Miro does everything GOM does, plays all sorts of video files, it displays video in HD (High Definition) but here's the best part: it also allows you to browse and watch YouTube videos right from within the player, you can also subscribe to any RSS video feed and enjoy Internet TV and it doubles as a BitTorrent client. Now that's what I call power!

Are You As Clean As You Think You Are?

I'm a clean freak and I'm proud of that! I found this quiz that tells you how many germs are there on your keyboard right now. I was CERTAIN that I'll have as many germs as possible because I clean my keyboard religiously, almost everyday but to my surprise this is my result:

That's equivalent to the number of germs on 216 toilets, by the way!

Radiohead's In Rainbows: Was it Really Up To Me?

So when Radiohead said it was up to us to set the price for their new album, they really meant it.

Today was the release of Radiohead's 7th album " In Rainbows", I have mentioned that - as a test - I offered $0.00 (as in free) for the album and I was questioning if whether or not they'll accept that as a price for the album. Well, earlier today I got the email with the activation code and link to download the album, so yeah.. it really was up to me.

Now that I ran my test, I went back to the site to order the album again and actually pay for it. I kept getting an error message so I figured the site's servers crashed again, when I finally accessed the site, I added my order to the basket and as I was checking out, I got the message that my email address ( the one I signed up with earlier) was not recognized.

While I can sign up again with a different email account and proceed with my order, I can't help but wonder now, was their acceptance of my $0.00 a glitch? It could be, but who I cares.
